Horse show judges’ PD Day

At a dressage judging clinic, Caledon Equestrian Park on Saturday. 2 things impressed me:

1.  A couple “bleachers full” of horse judges traveled from several provinces to update credentials . Passionate about their discipline with years of experience (and stories) from the judge’s booth at “Letter C.”

2. The atmosphere. At a dressage competition, everything is…quiet.

Wearing a few different hats as a horse show judge, it’s SO interesting for me to compare the disciplines. The scoring systems, the traditions, the styles – even the background music!
Something to be learned and appreciated from every horse show ring in equestrian sport.
